December 2012 to October 2013

Editor (Wyoming, United States): I wrote articles, took photos, oversaw a freelance writer and a freelance photographer, designed and copy edited for this weekly publication. I provided the majority of written and photographic content for both the sports and news sections. The subjects I covered included government, crime, sports and human interest features. I trained in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. I created and managed the newspaper’s Facebook page.

 

 

May 2010 to December 2012

Staff Writer/Photographer (Wyoming, United States): I wrote about six stories per week and took photos for our semi-weekly publication. I covered several beats, including local economic development, education and agriculture. I wrote, edited and co-hosted our daily news video. I mentored and managed two interns. I edited articles for style and content and moderated and managed its growing social media presence. I wrote web-first updates like breaking news and weather alerts.
